And all enjoy the season, the turning of the year;
Each home is full of happiness and all are of good cheer.

With simple gifts for simpler times: memories of pure gold.

Family Care and family love
At Santa’s Christmas tree.

And eased my worries free,
Told of Santa long ago

Love and Care for everyone

In the quiet of dark starlight sky sky
Somewhere above my hall.

CHORUS

ENOUGH is more than MORE.

The empty sky is now her fate;

No cover, gorse, or copse.

                <text>Oh, to write a song like any man, that’s what I wish to do,
And to sing about the place I love in words both fine and true,
And let the one who has never seen the beauty of my home
Imagine in his nightly dream the place where I come from.

On Leinster’s mount above the vale are the nine stones standing proud,
A blackbird perched upon a rock his song he sings aloud
Where the tombs of kings and chieftains, they lie many on the land
From Borris to Rathvilly town; they were built by native hand.

Now the Barrow carves her course so wide through gentle rolling hills,
Her water giving life to lands as over rock she spills
Past Leighlinbridge and Muinebheag a-flowing to the sea;
Oh, the beauty of her riverside is a pure delight to me.

From Tinryland, Ballon to Clonegal you will find no better sights
And south to Ballymurphy beneath the Blackstairs heights,
At the abbey of Saint Moling where they bow their heads to pray
As the sun it rises o’er the hills at the dawning of the day.

In Carlow town her castle stands a beacon to her past
Of how a troubled nation has found its way to last.
Though blood was spilled upon her stones and children cried in pain
Now flowers grow among her halls in sweet free Irish rain.

Every child of God they surely love the place where they belong
And every corner of the earth is praised in its own song,
And my song is about the place where I was born and raised
For I love my County Carlow until my dying Days.

                <text>You grew and built your business through long, hard working days:
The bankers came and broke it, then they stole it all away.
You cannot trust the bankers, their only god is greed
And they hide behind their agents who do their dirty deeds.

CHORUS
They brought us rack and ruin, they brought us doom and gloom,
Their fierce greed almost ruined us; vultures sing the same sad tune.
The bankers’ god is Mammon, the Christians’ God, Yahweh;
It’s awful sad to see today how Mammon trumps Yahweh.

They’d no care for the workers, they’d no more care for you;
They only cared for profits, that bonus-hungry crew.
You offered to restructure, construct a new, fair loan,
But they spurned you and your offer, then they took away your home.

CHORUS

You fought them to the High Court; the lawyers played their games;
The lawyers all got well paid but their games still lost your claim.
The law should lead to Justice, it’s sad that’s not the way;
It’s legal games more than God’s Truth in the gold courts of today.

CHORUS

Your solace comes from family, from friends, your Christian creed;
Leave the bankers and their Mammon to the rat-race world they
breed.
The bankers’ god is Mammon, the Christians’ God, Yahweh;
It’s awful sad to see today how Mammon trumps Yahweh.
