In the county of Carlow two rebels were slaughtered
Two brave Irish heroes who loved Erin dear
With the guns of the British that they lent Dick Mulcahy
They were both assassinated at Carthy’s of Shean.
Location: Carlow County, especially Tullow
Thomas Traynor, from Tullow, was executed because of his involvement in the 1916 rebellion. Together with Kevin Barry and eight others he was initially buried in an unmarked grave in Mountjoy.
